Yo, what's up to the rock community on IndieBand? It is Mark McGrath from the band Sugar Ray.

Yes, I know, I know, off the charts, but always in our hearts. And speaking of always in our hearts,

the rock community moderators on IndieBand were kind enough to let me know that they celebrate

the music is Sugar Ray. So if you're a Sugar Ray fan, get on over there to the

IndieBand app because it's where musicians go, like-minded musicians go, to

jam and gather. So quick shout out to all the rock community on IndieBand.

Grateful. Even if you play a little Sugar Ray, you may play no Sugar Ray. I'm just

glad you're playing music, which is awesome. And when you think about music,

There's the Billy Sheehan bass players.

It's funny, those two guys from the same band.

There's all these amazing musicians

and sometimes it gets a little scary, right?

Like you never think you can hang or write a song.

But honestly, there's five chords

where 90% of the rock songs in the world,

the hit songs, have been written on.

And you know what they are?

They're G, they're D, and they're C.

And if you throw an A and an E in there,

you've got yourself a hit song.

For example, "Fly," all right?

It's an A to a D, very simple.

The point is, if I can do it, if I can have fun,

write songs with other like-minded individuals,

it's a good place to be.
