No Ego In The Winter

Snow falls soft, a whispered hymn

Cold wind haunts its frozen rim

If I had no ego, would I cease to exist?

A simple heart of human, with no drag twist

Would I create a world where open channels flow

Without external need to validate my soul?

What if it protects me, all the cool things that I know?

Who would I be if I just let it go?

Because you need me maybe more than I need you

A dance within the world is like a costume in a zoo

If I had no ego, no story underneath

A blanket could be lifted, lifetimes of relief
